Default First Trail Cam Pictures

I got my first ever trail camera shortly after christmas and really had no idea what I was doing. I knew of some trails the deer where using, But there wasnt enough room to put a trail camera on them and have more than 10 feet of visibility. I eventually decided to do some brush hoggin and clear some trails that the deer were using, even though I figured that once i disturbed the trails there was a good chance the deer would quit using them. The camera has been set up for 2 days and I couldnt wait any longer so I went and checked the camera and the following is what was captured on camera:

It sure as heck didnt take those coons long to find the corn. Should I try to eradicate the coons, or will they bother the deer at all?

They shouldnt bother the deer at all. Nice pics, its kind of like christmas every time you go check the camera.

yeah, its a whole lot like christmas, haha. also, how long should you wait before checking the camera? The deer around here are relatively close to human contact 90 percent of the day and they run between houses and properties a lot so I dont think the scent of humans really bothers them.

You're right it is just like Christmas. Try to resist going to often. It might be okay to go once a week this time of year. But as the season gets closer, you might want to cut it back to every two to three weeks. Don't worry about the coons, they won't run the deer off but they will eat up all your corn.

Blessings.....Pastorjim
