it looks like a cactus buck...real young.....what happens is something happens with their testes, and they quit shedding , but keep regrowing..let him get to about 8 y/o, aint like he will be able to breed.
can get an awesome 300" non typ outta of him in the long run

this buck has an injury to his front leg.the first pics shows him
in March without antlers.a body injury causes antler deformation
the next year[possibly forever?] i doubt he has anything wrong with his testicles, seeing that he is shedding velvet in these last pics.

i agree he would be awesome in the future years, but i'm not going to let him live as a cripple.he can't get around very good.
i'm not after monster bucks and he's a trophy to me.the neighbors here shoot anything and i'm not willing to take a chance he will get past them !

look closer,it's not the shoulder. leg looks like it was broken above the knee. i'm guessing it was shot last season.he showed up at my feeder/camera in march and it was healed over already.
can't believe a coyote hasn't pulled him down yet.
i try to keep the yotes thinned out though

Actually on an ungulate that area would be just above the wrist if you were compairing it to a humans bone structure... He actually doesn't look like he is all that stressed or in pain. He made it through last winter judging by the pic dates since in looks healed and fine in March. May have been a gun shot wound too. If you don't harvest him don't lose sleep over him suffering cuz he isn't in rough shape. Everyone thinks an injured deer is in missery all the time. There are injured pets and people all over out there and many of them are healthy and happy. He looks like a content buck that is dealing with his injury very well. Having that said, good luck hunting him. Its always fun know matter what buck you are after. It would be cool to see if its just broke or if there is some bullet frags or bh in there.

If you get the chance, do the right thing. Big buck gods will reward you later on.
