I am for the first time looking to buy a trail camera. I don't want to spend a fortune and until I get the hang of it I need a fairly easy camera to setup. My price range is really anywhere from 60-100 dollars which i know probably doesnt get me much. Someone suggested a Moultrie Game Spy D-50 which is 5 mp. any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the addiction. If you don't know what I mean by that statement, you soon will. Obviously in the $100 range, your choices for a good quality camera are a little limited but can still be done. In that range the new Moultrie D-55, Stealthcam I-590, or the Spypoint FL-A would be a good choice. Great places to read reviews and buy from are www.trailcampro.com and www.chasingame.com.
