Default First Coyote 2010

I would love to see one of this when I had a weapon in my hand. Legal kill year around in VA. Is this true in every state?

Jim, I've been wondering about you, haven't seen you post any pics in a while. Glad to see you're still among the living. To answer your question, here in Indiana we have a season on them in the fall but if you can prove they are a nuisance, a landowner can get permits to hunt them about any time.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

don't mean to bust on your post, but that appears to me to be a gray fox not a yote

Yep.....definetly a Fox,look at the bushy tail!

I believe we can hunt Coyote's just about year round except towards the Spring when the Pups are born (does that make any sense?)and around Turkey Season? As far as that Fox you can Hunt or Trap them only during the Furbearer Season.....some time in Nov and up to Jan. sometime here in Missouri? Its not a very long season but its when they have their winter coats and are worth more money then.

Hard to tell if its a fox or not. Dont be fooled by the bushy tail either. The one I killed had quite the bushy tail as well. As far as an open season year round in Va, thats only on private land.

Default Sorry first fox instead

Sorry guys, I see the difference now. I was so excited to get my first cam pic this year I did not even focus in on the picture. This is my land so I get charged about killing yotes anytime I can find one. I need to start reading my state game book, I thought it was open season year round everywere in VA.

PS PastorJim, My Dad got sick last November and went to Heaven March 1st. I 've not been involved with much of anything except work and my Dad the last 8 months.

Look forward to posting lots of bear pics this year!
