Default What camera to buy?

I am looking at buying a Bushnell trophy cam, but I heard the 2010 models are having some problems. Should I get the 2010 and hope they are fixed or should I buy a 2009 model? (2010 has 32 led vs 24 from 2009 if that makes a big diff I dunno)

2010:

or

2009:

thanks for the help!

I bought a 2010 earlier this month from Bass Pro Shop and put it in the woods.i will be checking the camera today. I am worried also, but hope that I bought a camera that has been fixed. I will let you know tomorrow if the camera just kept taking pictures or if it is all good!

Be sure and let us know what you get.

Dubcee, as far as which one to get, I'm still going with the 2010 model because of the upgrades. Now having said that, I will tell you that the first camera I got had a problem. It would go on picture taking runs and just take pictures for hours with nothing in them. www.chasingame.com had the same problem with their review camera and suspended the review. They have since received another unit and have not had the same issue. I just checked my replacement camera again the other day and although I had it set in the video mode, there didn't seem to be any issues. When I returned my first camera to www.trailcampro.com, where I bought it, they imformed me that several cams had came back with the issue I described. Of course, they were very quick in getting me another camera. I would call them on their toll free number, 1-800-791-0660
and ask if that issue has gotten better with the later cameras. Hope this helps.

I have eight 2009 models and love them.
I do like the more IR's of the 2010 model and maybe the 16GB card for videos.
I really don't take videos and I have never filled the 2GB card in the 2009 model.
I have had 1900 pictures on one 2GB card and it was still going.
I buy all of my stuff from Camlockbox.com, Ed is a great guy.
His 2009 model #119405 is only $161.00 till he is sold out.
At that price that's why I just bought my last five camera.

Yeah, I had to send my '10 BTC (basic model) back after having the continuous picture taking runs also.

The replacement is working great so far, but I still can't say which one ('09 or '10) that I like the most. I've had one of the '09's for over a year now and haven't had any problems and the camera has been in continuous use since I got it. I'm running two other '09 BTC's also and have no regrets, the '09's continue to impress me! Hopefully all of the issues get worked out with the '10's and it too will dominate the market just as the 09's did...

Well................
my 2010 BTC is a dud. It took 1960 pictures in the first 3 days and filled the 2gb card up. Only about 200 of the pictures had anything in it, if that many. And all of the pictures were taken with the IR lens. Not one was in color. I am just wondering if i ship it back to Bass Pro Shop if they will return my money since the camera has been opened.

They should.
Any upstanding company ( Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc. ) will take it back if there is an issue.

That describes exactly the problem I had with my first TC. Most of the picture taking runs were at night but it filled a 2gig card in about 2.5 days. So far the replacement cam hasn't done that and trailcampro told me they were from a later shipment. I hope you can return yours. Keep us posted.
