SET UP A CAMERA ON A DEER CARCASS WE SKINNED OUT IN LATE MUZZLELOADER IN VIRGINIA THIS DECEMBER. I WAS HOPING TO GET PICS OF COYOTE AND OUR RESIDENT BOBCAT THAT I HAVE ONLY GOTTEN PARTIAL PICTURES OF IN THE PAST, WELL I GOT A FEW COYOTES, CROWS, A HAWK, AND THIS GUY
I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE IN THIS PART OF VIRGINIA

That is such an amazing bird. They are becoming more and more popular here in my part of Iowa. nice pic!

its kewl to see one so proud, i saw them on the docks in alaska and they are like pigeons..awful to see them that way, they need to shoot them all and just let the real "Bald Eagles" live...not the pigeon like ones.
you oughta enter this in the photo contest that PJ just placed in.

Very true. Although the DNR says there is only 99 nests in Iowa, which is hard to believe. I know of 5. That picture is awesome. I was following a coyote path, which I assumed led to a dead deer. I was right, but it also led to a giant eagle. I scared it, and it scared me.

yea im not really believeing the 99 nests thing... as many as i have been seeing, there has to be more than that. i have seen 7 in one tree one time, doesn't mean much, but it was a really cool sight

Great pic.....i had one feeding on a carcass in my field last year and it made the carcass look small. They are big birds!
