Tell me about the Bushnell Trophy camera.
I have three Reconyx cameras. I am not comparing these by any means. I just want to hear something about the Bushnell Trophy camera. I am thinking about getting one to put on an Wildlife Refuge Area or Public ground. They are small an the batteries suppose to last a long time.
Does anybody have one? Can you tell me something about them? |
I have three and like them very much.
Nice pictures in the day and night. I haven't tried any videos. 4000 + pictures and still going on the batteries. I use 2GB Sandisk SD cards and Duracell rechargeables. There is a new one in the testing stages. Supports a 16GB card and will have 32 IR illuminators. ( http://www.chasingame.com/index.php?id=140 ) Here is one of the best picture that I have gotten so far. Right in the middle of the picture posing for the shot. ![]() |
AR, you might want to hold off on that until the 2010 models are available. From what I've read about them, they are going to have some significant improvements on an already great camera.
Blessings.....Pastorjim |
Wait for the 2010 models.
They'll do wide screen video, 7mp and take a 16gb SD card. Last I heard they should be available around May. |
I have a confirmed availability for sometime in April :happy0001:

I don't have a reconyx, but I can say I like the TC very much. Good video - good pix and the battery life has been nothing short of amazing. I got mine before xmas and it has been out there steady in video and picture mode and is still going strong.
As far as waiting for the next generation, I would not hesitate in grabbing an older gen model at a great reduced price. Of couse I will buy a new one also just to see how good it is. |
i have one and love it. I have three moultrie I40s i am trying to sell to buy more trophy cams. I love the size of the trophy cam, battery life, trigger speed, pic quality. its 100% silent as it takes pictures...just love them

Cabelas is now listing the new camera on their website.

That thing looks nothing short of amazing. I was in the market for one as well, looks like I may have to wait until I make it out to Cabelas/Bass Pro to take a look at it. Pretty good price as well.

I have two Trophy Cams...good day pics. One takes mediocre nite pics. The other doesn't take any nite pics. Just reporting!

Other upgrades of the 2010 camera are:

The video does take up a lot of battery life, but the video is very good. If you stick to pictures the batteries will last for 4000+ pictures!
