WI. no I dont.
b hunter, I dont know the reason, this is the first year I have used feeders and only use corn. I put them out in July in or very near their bedding area's in thick cover. Also since I live 5 hours away I usually get there between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM and since I wouldnt be able to sleep until I checked my cams anyway the first thing I do after I arrive is switch out my cards and fill my feeders. (if needed) I think putting them in or near thick cover could have alot to do with it since its very rare to see a mature buck enter the food plots prior to dark.
I also think that entering those area's in the middle of the night is alot better than entering them during daylight.
IL. cornfed, Yeh he was and still is my target buck for 2009, I had him at 35 yards on the afternoon of Nov. 19th, he didnt have a care in the world and was very slowly feeding right towards me and would have passed broad side within 20 yards and I had the perfect wind, I turned a little just to stay square with him and my stand made a creak as I re positioned my feet, He looked up, and strutted directly away from me, when he was 80 yards out I hit the grunt tube, he stopped looked back and high tailed it out of there. I was so pissed that it took weeks to get over.
Below is a link to a thread with lots of pics of Freak Daddy II that I posted here prior to the season. Pike
