Default Sub-Freezing temps

Which cameras work best in below freezing temps ?

My Moultrie d40 seems to not work at all with temps in the 20s'.

I've read in the booklet where it reads "this camera will not operate "consonantly" with freezing temps". I've even added the external powerpack to help the internal batteries with no luck.

Thanks for any replies.

I have a Cuddeback Capture flash version and that was working when the temperature was below zero. The battery life was still good during winter too and got about a month and a half out of them.

The Reconyx cams we run are by FAR the best in bitter cold weather.... especially with the Lithium AA's batts installed! I know it hasn't been real cold yet here in Illinois, with lows only in the 20's, but one Reconyx I have out over a mock scrape has taken SEVERAL THOUSAND 1080p HD images since the new batts were installed on Oct 10, it was still regestering an impressive 89% battery life just 2 days ago!!! Thats impressive battery life for any cam but considering that the Reconyx will record a couple thousand images faster than most cams can capture 100 images, it's amazing! One more reason that proves, you really do get what you pay for in the trail cam industry. I find it nice to know that there really are some great ones out there!
