Doesn't look like it. Always read chasingames reviews before buying a cam. It doesn't look good for this cam. http://www.chasingame.com/index.php?id=64 I love that last post: This is my review of a pile of crap. Spend your $$$ elsewhere. |

I didn't know about www.chasingame.com/ before my purchase but have since been reading their site. I have the updated version of this camera and have had no other issues whatsoever other then what seems to be short battery life. Daytime pictures are great other then the color not being very vibrant. Although they are still good color. Nightime pictures have also been great using the IR flash. The ones I have posted may be a little blurry in spots but, this is due to water drops on the lens from a heavy rained we received throughout the day. I have not used the incandesent flash outside yet so I cannot speak of it's performance. The sensor range is great, reaching out to the range of 60 feet. Programming the camera and using my 2gb cards have worked without a glitch. If I wanted to compare cameras or look for advice about a better camera then I would have asked those questions. I did not. However I did ask ways to improve battery life with the current setup I have. Although I appreciate your help with the advice you have provided, it isn't what I'm asking or looking for. I know there are better cameras out there but, I am happy with my purchase so far and am only looking for advice on the questions I have asked. I see how my wording of this may seem as if I'm coming accross as rude but, I do not mean it to be rude at all, so please don't take it that way. Do you have any advice as far as something I can do to extend my battery life or maybe a way I can still connect a 6v? I would greatly appreciate anyone who can help me on this matter.
If google doesn't come up with anything then I'd say you're screwed. I thought all cams anymore had dc jacks for external batteries but I guess I was wrong. |
I'm sorry, I have not seen where they didn't get the external power source to work, just that it doesn't have a DC jack built in for an external power source. I have read in several forums people stating that they have wired them up to run on external power source such as a 6v. Have also seen it mentioned here, I'm just trying to find out how they did it and what they used now. Someone mentioned it in another thread and I'm interested in knowing how it worked and what they did to make it work, I just haven't gotten a reply yet. I know there are people who have done it, I just don't know how. I would like to learn though.
