Default The last picture of big ugly

Well I have had probably close to 100 pictures of this buck since early july. The good news is I can now look at the deer in person since my dad shot him saturday night. I figured i would post a few of the most recent pictures I got of him last week and a couple after the harvest.

Hell of a deer--why you let your dad shoot him

Were you able to pattern him and harvest it with the camera...or dumb luck?

I wanted him to shoot it so I could hold out for something bigger. We had him patterned as far as the general area he was in. All the pictures we got of him were in and around one of our food plots, but all but a couple back in july were at night. It was luck as far as being there when he decided to show himself during daylight but we knew he was there. With all the scraping and rubbing going on it was just a matter of time till someone laid eyes on him, but with killing any deer regardless of size it takes a certain amount of luck to get the job done.

Great deer! Holding off for something bigger? Wow! You guys must have a prime spot where you are at. Good luck and congrats to your dad.

I was being sarcastic about holding off for something bigger. I rough scored him and came up with 195" he field dressed 230 pounds.

Congrats to your dad on a really great buck. To me, that is one of the great things about trailcams, seeing them through-out the year and then being able to kill it during the season. Makes for a great history and story.

Blessings.....Pastorjim
