Default The "BOSS ROSS" is back

Unfortunately no shots out of velvet...regardless this is an exceptional buck for PA. Any guessses on age. His neck tells me what I originally hypothesized___he is a minimum of 4.5. Looking at his body I'm starting to lean towards 5.5, he seems to have way to much mass in his neck and body at this time to be anything else.

He is a great deer. And for his age i would shoot first and ask questions later.

I'm going to have to amend what I said last night. There are a couple features telling me he's closer to 3.5 than 5.5. For one he does not have very much mass into his tines. He appears more like a sleek racehorse than a breeder bull. Also, I'm not seeing a lot, if any, loose skin. Lastly, his stomach is relatively taught with little "pot belly" appearance. However, I still feel this buck is 4.5 due to the development of his neck at this time of the year.

That's a very nice Pa buck, no doubt! I don't think he's 5 1/2 though. More like 3 1/2. I wish I had him on my trail cam either way.

Look at the sway in his back I would go with solid 4.5

That's a nice buck. I'm terrible at guessing age. But it's nice to know he's in my neighborhood
