Default who needs a cam

decided to scout out a soybean field i've hunted turkeys in, with only a month left till opening day. figured i didnt have that long to scout every area with my cam. so i got my climber and binoculars and went up at one end of the field. about 8:30 two deer came by me no more than 10 yds away. walked around in the soy beans about 20 yds away for 10 mins then headed away. one was a large bodied six pt. and the other was a doe. heard some snorting behind me but never showed its self. boy did i get lucky. will check out the trail tomorrow to see if it was just a random pass by or a hot trail.

Sounds like you need a trail cam. You layed down some scent in your hunting area & had deer snorting at you. I'm know it was exciting, but it's not efficient.

Yeah, I agree... Glad I'm not hunting that property.. No one even enters the woods within a month of season, we keep all scent out and let the deer to get back to their normal patterns after food plottings and hanging stands for the year.
That is one huge bonus to trail cameras!!
