Addiction is a great word, once you have one, you will want more, its a great way to extend the hunting season!!! I have a bunch of Moultrie's (7) love them, see some examples on my post Wild Kingdom, i see some awesome pics on here from guys with Cuddebacks, just ordered 3 Stealth Cams, will see, had a couple of Leaf River, some jacka** stole my last one earlier this week, not too high on it anyway for the cost....good luck with your addiction, the best part we'll all be here to help you with your problem

Really...that may make the wife a little happier I liked the 550, because of the size, battery life, etc--Did Bushnell buy out Scoutguard?

They are about the same size, and the same company in china makes scoutguard, bushnell, and the DLC. Some small differences in them, but the bushnell gets my vote for not needing a remote like the covertII by DLC.

In addition to what the very wise Hossdaniels has posted The Bushnell Trophy Cam has 2 additional infrared emitters over the Scoutguard and the emitters are configured differently, producing a wider coverage versus the cone shape produced by the Scoutguard.

And most importantly is the 2 year warranty, you won't find that on any other camera!

Trophy Cam users:
I don't think I need a viewer on the camera...Seems to me like more things to break...security is going to be a fairly good consideration for this camera...does its small size make it harder to secure?

Also, Haystack...where did you see info on the 2yr warranty?

Desertloper, I purchased a Trophy Cam around the end of April, I have the basic model (without the viewer) and I have no problem securing this camera at all, very easy infact.

Here is where I purchased mine http://www.trailcampro.com/bushnelltrophycamreview.aspx. In addition to the 2 year warranty provided by Bushnell, trailcampro has a 90 day no questions ask return policy and shipping was free and super fast.

Sorry Desertloper, After looking at the link that I posted concerning the warranty, I realized it was the wrong one

Here is what it should have been. http://www.trailcampro.com/bushnellt...uardsg550.aspx Scroll down the link a ways, it'll show it.
