how oftten should you check your cam?

I check mine aleastonce a month. I check it sometimes twice a month.

Yea do not get into the habit of checking it too often. I know you want to get out there and look at the pictures but you are doing yourself more harm than good. The deer will start to pattern you by your scent and you will see a sharp decrease in deer activity if you check it too often.

I personally check them about once every 15-20 days to be safe and not scare any deer off.

I check them every 4-6 weeks depending on how I think the batteries may be holding up.

do you guys live on the land you hunt off of?

I check mine atleast every 2 weeks. I usually go once a week. Theres a couple reasons.

1. Why have it up if there is no action in that spot? I like to move them around even if its a 100 feet andfacing a different direction.
2. Pictures of nothing. A tree branch swaying can eat up batteries and a memory card fast. I do trim around for this but even a branch 20 feet away can set it off.
3. To get out of the house and down to the hunting land. I do take my hunting pants and boots and spray down before I head in. Just a little precaution.

It depends on the area. If it is the property i live on, then i check it once every 4-5 days. If its other properties, or properties far away, i can go weeks.
