The small red colored rock next to the stumpwas the remnant of a trophy rock after a month. They liked it.

I use to use trophy rocks at my camera sites ( as well as every other type of block, lick, jam etc) at $25.00 each and the deer loved them, but then I tried generic 50lb mineral blocks that only cost $6.00 each just to see how they worked at the local feed store and they worked just as good if not better (I got pics of over 100 different bucks last year) so now I just use the generic blocks every year. JPIKE: Just curious: judging by the times, dates, and racks in some of the pictures, I'm curious what the law is down there Yorks Pa. ways, regarding use of bait, mineral licks.

Your right there isnt anything wrong with asking questions about pics.
But what did your question have to do with my pics?
Your question was about the game law for using bait and mineral licks here in York PA., which the answer to you question (which you already knew the answer to your question and insinuating that I was breaking the law) is that it is illegal to use bait and licks starting 30 days prior to the season and once again nothing to do with my pics. Sure will miss getting mineral site pics this year here. We had a deer on a game ranch test positive for CWD last Aug, and our DNR immediately banned minerals, bait etc in the lower peninsula. Might be a case of over reacton, but better safe than sorry. They did the right thing in what they did, and I can live with the decision, but it has required a little adaptation on my part in how and where I sometimes place my cams.
