I just buy batteries. Rechargeables don't work as well. At least I don't think.

One of my cameras takes 6 d batteries. So I buy 3 8 packs. That gets me a long time. And my other 2 cameras run off the 6 volt lantern batteries. I haven't tried it yet but people I've talked to buy a 6 volt motorcycle battery. Lasts a long time and that can be recharged.

I buy new duracells. Rechargable batteries don't last as long.
I only replace my cam batteries twice a year so it's not that big a deal.

A Moultrie I40. I got my cam in March I think, and I have changed them out once. And they were just below 50% battery life. These cams just sip on battery power.

I use Duracell batteries.
