Bushnell trail scout?

RE: Bushnell trail scout?
I have one and it has a decent trigger time and takes decent pictures, but it has a lot of false triggers and eats up batteries like there is no tomorrow (I've never had it last a full week on 4 - D cell batteries). The other weak point is the flash, it has an effective range of about 30 feet.
I ended up buying rechargeable batteries for it and play with it around the house. It has taken some neat pictures, but the battery life makes it nearly useless for me on my property as a true trail camera.

RE: Bushnell trail scout?
I double checked and mine is a trail sentry, not a trail scout. Not sure if that makes any difference on battery life or flash range though.
This is one of my favorite trail camera pictures and it was taken with it about 100 yards from my house at a wildlife pond I built.
I wouldn't buy another one and would gladly sell the one I have if I got a decent offer for it. It spends most of the time in the garage on a shelf.
