When do you guys pull your cameras or what I'm getting at is when do you stop checking them so frequently. I had mine out and was checking about once every 10 days but I don't want to crowd my deer on my spot so I pulled my cameras out last week. How do you guys manage this.

Betterbirddogs,

I plan on removing my cams. on labor day. I never have them out past that time in any year. However, lately I have been thinking about putting them out again closer to the rut in order to see what buck activity is taking place. That's just my way of doing things but I will be interested to see what other guys are doing.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

Mine is in the woods/field behind my house and get traffic from the neighbors, dogs, etc so I plan to leave it out all year. Once I see my bucks start to lose velvet, I'm going to move it to my mock scrape site and start hitting that up. Want to see what all will hit it thru the fall.

I never remove my cameras, they run year-round. I usually take a couple of the lower quality cameras down when the season starts, but that is because I want to spend more time hunting and less time collecting cards and batteries. Checking 10 or 12 cameras can take up some good hunting time. I keep the good ones out there to see what is going on.

i put mine out the day i buy them and i take them out of the woods after the coons and bear tear them to shreds. yes, they're out all winter too.

during the season i only check them when i'm walking past the area anyway. there's no better way to tell you that a spot is either really good or really bad then using a camera.

Leave it out. It doesn't mean you have to check it. Who knows what it'll get a picture of.
