Default Which trail camera for under $200

I have saved up about 200 bucks. I am looking into buying my first trail camera. Which camera would be the best bang for the buck below $200.

The Moultrie I-40 about $200 the D-40 about $100. I have both cameras but the I-40 tops the D-40 with picture quality, but there is nothing wrong with the D-40 either. If you bought the D-40 you would have extra money for the cards, batteris and anything else you might need. There has been a lot of reviews about the I-40 on here lately and they are all pretty much the same, they like them.

The I40 is excellent. But it is $200 for the camera itself.

Like TexasBowhunter said, If you get the D40 for $100 then you would have money left over for SD cards and batteries and other things you'll find you need.

Look on ebay you should be able to get the I-40 (authorized moultrie retailers)with batteries and 1GB card for 206 shipped.

don't buy a d40!

don't let the similar name fool you, it's more like moultries old generation cameras then their new ones. it falls behind the i40 and m40 in every aspect!

sd cards are about $7 for 1gb and d batteries are around $6. not much of a factor anyway.

I like the I-40 myself but have to give the edge to the Scout Guard SG550. Faster trigger 1.2 sec and great video. Compact little 5MP for under 200 with free shipping....
