Default Moultrie I40, I50, I60??????????????????????????

I just bought my first Moultrie cam and it's a I50 from Cabela's. I notice when I went to put it up this weekend that when you tighten the strap the battery cover has a gap. Anyone else run into this on the I40 or I60??? I didn't tighten the strap that tight, it must be weak plastic. I put some camo tape over the gapt to make sure water doesn't get in there.

By the way you can use a 12V SLAB if you use a converter to step it down to 9V. The solar pack that Moultrie sells puts out 8.5V, so the 12V should last a heck of a long time!!!!!!!!

i bought a steel box off of e-bay (which is alot better made than the one Moultrie sells). i use the nylon strap to attach the steel box to the tree. this way i can tighten it down as much as i need without breaking the game cam. after the steel box is cinched up, i just place the game cam in and lock it.

My M60 has a small gap and after 5 inches of rain there was no problems so I wouldnt worry too much. The tape wouldnt hurt though.
