Default Pics from hombrew camera.

These are a few of my first pics from my new homebrews. Look at the belly on the doe in the last picture. She is ready to POP!

I am not sure since I'm using them for the first time. With 4 AA rechargable batteries the one camera took 599 pics in eight days and still had battery life. The other camera took 579 pics during the same time and the batteries were dead. They are the same setup so I don't know what caused that.

I will experiment with settings and batteries as I go.

Very nice pictures. Are you using a Yeti setup? How is the trigger speed?I have been considering building a few with custom enclosures to make them near invisible in the woods.

Todd,
That sounds about right on the battery life, depending on how many are flash. I have Sony P41's in my homebrews, and with 2 aa 2650 mah rechargeables Duracells or Eneloops, I can get upwards of 400-500 pics on high resolution setting. My cards are Sony/Sandisk 512's and the card is usually filled up before the batteries are exhausted. You will probably do better with the 4 aa's, but may need larger cards than mine to take full advantage of them. I did find that my batterys lasted longer if I completely discharged them on my charger, before I charged them.

MB,
thanks for the info. I didn't discharge them. I charged them right out of the box. My charger does have a discharge feature that I will use from now on. I am running Sony 2gb cards.
