Buck: So fishers are increasing in NY- and it's good to see ?? Wait till you grouse, rabbits, turkyes and small fawns start disappearing. And once they are depleated watch out for your cats and small dogs. I hear fishers love kitty-chow-meow !!

mountie,
Yes i happen to enjoy seeing predators keep an ecosystem in balance. be it hawks, fishers, wolves, fox, coyotes, etc. I doubt any of the small game populations will disapear, as most predator, prey poulations are cyclical. everyone needs to eat!!! if there was no predators, they would die of starvation and disease from over population. I would rather watch arabbit be caught by a fisher or hawk than problems related to over population...

Here are a few of my fisher pics, these lil buggers do wreak havoc on a squirrel and porkie population, but since they've come back around my part of WI we havent seen much impact on the grouse pop.
