i guess it depends on how long you will have to leave it out before checking it. sounds like you only need one set of batteries for the life of a moultrie the way these guys pump them up. heck, i'd probably go buy one if the picture quality was a little better.
I get very good photo's. heck i thinkmoultrie has more mega pixel than the cudde at least on the i40 and i60.my hunting buddies have cudde cam's. I'm not against them, just there price. the cudde does have faster tigger 3/4 sec compared to 1.5 second. not enough to justify all the extra expense. one of my friends has the no flashmodel, it seems to have 3 sec tigger.I've noticed that you seem to have a negative view of every other brand out there other than cudde. have you owned any brands other than cudde. the new models from alot of the big companys seem to be producing quality stuff. as for quality, cudde has had nothing but negative things said about them on internet review sites, at least the 06/07 models. I haven't had any problems with mine. not trying to anger you, butgive others a chance. I think other members of this site have posted quality things and no one is pumping anything up. i value thier information they may have a certian products.
Heavy Hitter,

I love your pictures, (especially the big buck bedded down), but u should try a few more cams out. The Cudde's are good but their so pricey and the Steath Cam I450 which i bought a couple monthes ago takes almost if not just as good of pictures as your cudde.

i actually have tried out other cams. started with a stealth cam that was horrible, and i've used a wildview that was even worse. i did see a pic off of what must be the newer model stealth that looked really nice. i'm just happy with the cudde and really only have the time to use one. no need for anything else.

I can respect that, the wildviews are the worst IMO and then the moultrie's. The new stealths are amazing for the price though.

Cuddebacks are one of the best cameras out there IMO. For the new 2008 models they are lowering their prices on all their cameras so they get more buyers.

Also, Predator came out with a new camera that is worth checking out too.

Do you have the Cudde Expert or 3.0? I'll give you the 3.0 is a good cam. All other models have gone down hill IMO.
You die hard cudde guys need to give the I40's and I60's a chance. These are nothing like the moultries of old. They take just as good a pic as my cudde expert or IR ever took. Maybe even better...especially when I think of how much I paid for it. I'm not sure on the 1.5sec trigger. Mine is almost instant. Might not be quite as fast as cudde expert but it's not far from it.Its under a sec or right at it. Here's a pic to prove it.I saw this fox running acrossa field down towards my cam. I check the card and got him. He's definitely still on the move when he comes into frame. The buck is crossing apowerline we had planted. He had a scrape line just down the hill from here that was tore up. Ifound his tracks where he was crossing and put the cam on him. Got it the 1st night. I won't buy another cudde until they equal or better the I40 and do it for the same or less price. I liked my cuddes for the most part but leaking water and no help on the other end of the phone was a crock!

I don't understand the cudde lovers. The best thing that cuddeback does is advertise. If you want a real camera and are willing to pay for it the Buckeye cameras outperform the cudde's in every category by a significant margin.

As far asa directcomparison of the cuddeback noflash and the Moultrie I-40's here's a quote off of another site.

I have 3 cudde no-flashs and 3 Moultrie I40s. I wish the slits were stronger, too, I have successfully broken all 3, but other than that, the I40 are twice the camera as the Cudde. I've been trying to sell the Cuddes and buy some more I40s, but no one will buy them. The I40s are much quicker to set up( the Cuddes think too long between setup steps and take forever to delete pictures), have three times the battery life and twice the flash range at half the price!!!! Any Cudde lovers wanna buy some no-flash units?
I can give you cudde lovers the guys email if you want to pick some up cheap.
