Default Trail Cam ?

I am thinking about getting a trail cam, what would be a good one for the money?

Really depends on what you can afford.
I choose the Moultrie I40 as my first camera, it is digital & infra red, can do video or stills.
I ordered it over EBay, had a problem with itwhen I didthe updatebut Moultrie replaced without questions.
I prefer the digital vs 35mm, don't have to have film developed.
I have had as many as 1800 photos on my 2gb SD card, mostly squirrels.
Whatever you end up buying make sure you put it in a secure box when leaving it outside. While it is no guarantee it won't be stolen, it is a great deterent.

I just bought the Moultrie D40 for $100. Put it out over a pile of corn, and in one week, I had 200 pics.I have it set at the best pic quality, and I am not all that excited about the quality, but for the $$$, I think it is a great camera so far.

My cudde expert and IR....took good pics but...
Both ened up Leaking Water
Only got 350-400pics per set of batteries
Was a pain to remember how all the buttons worked
Has the worst customer service ever!
Pain inthe but to hang on the tree.

My new MoultrieI40's
Has all the same features and then some than the cudde.
Have bothtaken right a 1000 pics and still read 65-70% battery life
Takes an awesome day and night time pics
Has a faster trigger than the Cudde IR I use to have
Will take 3 quick shots
Is way easier to set up
Is easily straped to the tree
Cost half...yes half of either one of my cudde's did.
And their customer service is 100 times better

So tell me again why the cudde is better????Having had 2cuddes, 2 leaf rivers, and 2 Moultrie I40's....Cudde has a lot to do if they want to compete with these new Moultries. I think you go it backwards on who's offering 1/2 the camera....that would be cudde andfor twice the money.
