RE: Longest Life?

ORIGINAL: LouisianaTomkat

Maybe this ain't the place to ask, but I know a lot of you use trail cams. On average, how many pics/days do you get out of a battery(s)? I am nlooking to add a camera and I hate battery eaters. 3 to 4 Megapixels is all I need. I just want my battery(s) to last more than a week.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, LT
moultrie I40... I love it. You do not need corn to get the pics either. Have had it out for 3 weeks and its still at 91% batt. and thats in temp ranging from 40 to -3 degs.

even when they are running on a trail it gets there pic.

Ill post up some in a minute.

Here are a few pics from my Trailcam this year. Night time and low light it takes B&W-infrared.

My moultrie I40's are soo much better than my cuddebacks. In cold temps (less than 20)my cudde would take maybe 300-400 pics and be done, the one moultrie camera I still have out has taken well over 2000 pics, the last time I put batteries in it was the first week of december I think, last I checked the level was still over 70%. Temps have beenbetween 30 and -5, mostly in the 20's during the day and teens at night. Beats the crap out of my cuddeback anyday.

from what I have seen the Moultrie I40 is the best valued camera. Takes good pics, and the battery life is phenominal. I had one cam out from August till December took 2800 pics and still had 40% battery life.
