I've seen the commercial and checked them out. The idea is great as far as I'm concerned, the only thing is the high price. If their wasn't so much of an initial start up cost, I'm sure it would get pretty popular.

Same here.....great idea and camera to have but the initial price to set it up is very expensive...and the up-keep,cost of each picture it takes etc.... will put you in the Poor House for sure! [&:]

you would think they would do like the cellular phone companies. practically give away the product to make money off of the service plan through contracts. seems here they are trying to make money on both ends. i think this cam will do well for outfitters who guide hunts for a living BUT it is too expensive for the average "joe" right now.

I was going to ask the same question as nvrhapy. Anyone know the megapixel of the camera and how well it actually works (pics on website only look alright, nowhere near a Cudde)? Has anyone on here actually used the service for an extended amount of time?

I called them when they were first getting started and had an internet site with a note saying they were still working on getting set up so I called their phone number and got a guy on there giving me a list of set up cost and prices while his kids were running and screaming in the background.

If they were more affordable like CamoCop mentioned they would sell a heck of a lot more of them and I looked at their pic quality on their Site and it looked pretty poor to me!If you want to see any feedback about the Smartscouters it may be listed on this Site?
