RE: Wildview 5.0 or Stealth i450?
i'd go with the stealth i450 - better trigger time, color is better, more bells and whistles (more delay, picture and video settings), easier to lock on to tree.
the only advantage the wildview has is the better megapixel but I can't tell any difference between wildview 4 pics and wildview 5 pics. oh, i guess the wildview is easier to setup too.
they are both made by stealth so the customer service is the same on both - crappy.

to save money in the long run (lots of money) buy the stealth 12v battery kit. you can buy a spare at batteries plus and then swap them out when in the woods. it will definitely save money.

As far as battery life, how many pictures are you getting with the 6 C battery's?
ANother question on the i450. If you have it in movie mode does it switch over to stills in low light like the Wildview?

RE: Wildview 5.0 or Stealth i450?
i haven't used my i450 with c batteries. I've heard that it only lasta a bit longer then 2 weeks. w/ the 12v kit i've had as many as 800 and the batteries were still good.
yes, in video mode it switches to flash pictures at night. same as wildview.
I've tried a lot of digital cameras over the years and the i450 is unbeatable at that price.

You since I have found this website I have found it to be very helpful and very mind boggling.... I have been reading post after post of these two cams trying to make a decision and I read 50% Good and 50% bad about each of these camera's. Seems to me that there is not too much consistincy from camera to camera of the same kind or each person's opinion about it being good or bad is different. Or maybe even a little of both.
Calling all Wildview 4.0/5.0 and Stealth i450 owners. Please convince me of one or the other. Show me pictures. I wanna hear how long do the batteries last in # of pictures. Is the trip speed of the i450 so much better than the Wildview's? What about ease of setting up?
Thanks for all your opinions.

RE: Wildview 5.0 or Stealth i450?
I own the Stealth I450, and my father-in-law uses the Wildview Extreme 4. Both take really great pictures for the money. The Wildview only has a nighttime flash range of about 30 feet, where as the Stealth I450 has a flash range of about 50 feet. The Stealth also takes up to 9 pictures in a row compared to only 3 pictures on the Wildview. The Stealth also last longer on "C" batteries, due to using six at a time instead of four. The Stealth I450 also has more setup options, and is easier to operate. I have also used Moultrie cameras, but nothing I have experienced performs as well as the Stealth. Stealth also has a $20.00 mail in rebate with the I450. Good Luck!!!

RE: Wildview 5.0 or Stealth i450?
I know I've weighed in on this one a couple times but I've used both cameras EXTENSIVELY! I just want to be clear. The only thing the wildview has on the stealth is ease of setup and size. the i450 is better (or the same) in every other aspect.
keep in mind though that both cameras get the notorious whiteout pictures (when the flash goes off but shouldn't). stealth has recently said that they are going to come out with a firmware fix to the i450 (and maybe wildview) to fix the whiteout. Only problem is you have to ship the cam back to stealth. i'm going to wait until march to send mine in.
