here's one of the pictures of one of the doe that's almost completely winter coat already.... with the other doe that's still all summer coat, show's the contrast of the two coats nicely....

I love it when they have their summer coat because it sticks out like a sore thumb against all the green plants which is good for scouting!

definately a big difference. our deer seem to always have that light colored "sleek" look to them. they do very somewhat in being darker sometimes but they never grow excess hair and look shaggy.
