Default which would you choose?

Hello all,

I have never owned a trail cam and was thinking of getting one. I was wanting to stay in the 75.00 to 120.00 price range. Here are a fewI have been looking at and just wanted to know which one you guys/gals would pic if you had these choices. moultrie Gamespy 3.1, Gamespy 4.0, Wildview 4.0 or the ''NEW" Wildview 2.0....these 2 are the same price. They also have the Wildview 5.0, but a little more than I wanted to spend for my first one. Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks all!

I havefour of the old Wildview .3 cams, three of the 2.0, one moultrie 100 Spy cam and I like them all but if I had to narrow it down to one, I would go with the Wildview 2.0. Pic below is from the old Wildview .3.

there's also a wildview 3. I also like the wildview line. trigger time is really slow at 5 seconds (so, once the camera senses motion it takes 5 seconds to snap the picture).

right now stealth has a $20 rebate on the i450 which would drop the price down to $120. I would definitely get that cam! it's much better all around then the wildview line. But - if you are using strictly over a feeder, do not hesitate to pick up a wildview. I would stay away from the wildview .3 and wildview extreme II (wildview extreme 2 is different and better) because they have really weak flashes. stealth also has $10 rebate on the wildview line.

wildviews are also hard on batteries. you'll want to buy the $37 battery kit. I know this pushes you over your price range but the battery kit WILL save you money in the long run. I had a 2 gallon pail completely full of disposable batteries just from last fall. i don't even want to know what I spent on them before buying the big sla batteries.

before someone jumps in and recommends the moultrie d40 - let me tell you it's junk! the only way I would recommend that camera is if you are looking for the absolute cheapest camera to keep in the woods over the long haul. keep in mind that it doesn't perform very well (not nearly as well as moultrie says). but - it is very cheap to keep running.

anyway - good luck!!

Thanks guys for your replies. I was just looking through the new RedHead catalog and seen these in there. Is there a better place to order? I may check out ****'s sporting goods this weekend and see what they have!

Anyone else?

Thanks again!

Thats kinda funny cause i have gone throught the complete opposite with my wildview 4.0.... i had got some industrial energizers an they last about 4 weeks well over 500 pictures. i got the batteries for 49 cents a peice(know someone) for me 2 dollars a month in batteries. i cant beat it.

I would try Predator Trailcams....no film,no data cards, and all controls are touch screen.
Save Gas and Time with it.Delete pictures right there at the tree!
