You ever get an answer to your thread that you just hate, because it's not answering your question at all. Like if I were to say I wouldn't buy either of them and the the d40 has a terrible flash range, doesn't detect motion well, and has a sleep modeafter only 2 minutesand that maybe the stealth i450 would be a good one in that price range? I would hate it if someone said that to my question

seriously, if your are set on one ofthose two would go with the d40. As much as it hurts me to say that - it does have some good points. the batteries last a really really long time.

The 4 megapixel one is better because of the fast trigger time and the long battery life and the higher reoiltion photos.
