I'm using a Wildview v2 I believe. The only problem I have with it is that the photos do not have a date and time on them. Besides that it's been a great buy for only $70 at Gander.

I think the wildview 4.0 is a great purchase. I don't have experience w/ that model specifically but I bet it performs like the others. You got an extremely reliable camera that's easy to use, has a great sensing range, takes pretty good pictures, decent flash rangeand terrible trigger time - for a GREAT PRICE! If you can live w/ the trigger time it's a great camera!! Probably best to keep it over a feeder, food plot, or mineral/salt lick. If you need it on a trail make sure to have the cam aimed down the trail (not across it) so it has some time to take a pic.

One thing though - get the stealth 12 volt battery kit for $37. Might want to pick up an extra 12volt sla battery at batteries plus. This camera sucks down disposable batteries fast! I've had the 12 volts last 3+ weeks (still running when I took it out of the woods) and take 800 pictures. Over time you'll definitely save money that way.

Have fun!

well even though you didn't get camo, the wildview is a lot easier to conceal then just about any cam (especially those monstrous moultries). A lot of people put camo tape on their cams and that seems to work pretty good.

well I checked my WV 4 and wasn't too happy. only 6 pics (3 events) and they were all of me setting up. I had a Cudde and Bushnell set up at same spot and got 3 different events on the Cudde and 5 or 6 on the bushnell. I also didn't think the pic quality was very good. I moved the cam so it was right next to the other cams to see if it was just the location. we'll see.

For the money I think the wildview brand is hard to beat...This pic was taken with the wildview 2.0

I'm surprised about the wildview not getting pictures. In the past, I've seen the wildviews get more pictures then other cams, especially cuddeback. cuddebacks are notorious for their narrow sensing range.

I returned my moultrie d40 fora wildview 4.0 today. I hope it works as good as my 2.0, but with better pics of course.
