A P41 with a snapshot sniper board. Cam is wired with external C batteries for added power. Should get 1000+ pics or at least 3 months in the woods.
Oh, and this one is IR.

Checkbook there for scale.

In my opinion that is one of the best setups there are in a trail cam. The onky downfall I can see with it is the day pictures will have a pinkish tint to it.

Fast triggering, quality picture abd long lasting in the bush ........ what more can you ask for.

I couldn't believe how fast the daytime pics were. I downloaded this great photo program called picasa2. Two clicks and all those pink pictures are turned to greyscale.

Yes Picasa2 is a cool program ........... and itis FREEE

IS your SSS board set up for rapid mode or is one of the older boards. Rapid mode is just a mode that will take pictures one after the other if there is somthing to trigger the camera (as long as the camera is ready to take the picture, if not then the camera will just miss that one and be ready for the next). Your day pictures will be fast and night will be just a little slower (time needed to charge flash after picture is taken.

Good luck and have fun with your new toy.

I just got it a couple weeks ago. Should have the new chip it. If it doesn't, I will get the new chip from Gary.

Now if only the snow would go away so I can get into the high country.

Yes Gary from SSS is good to deal with. I have seriously thought of using his boards, but for one reason or another, it just has worked out that I went another dirrection but would not hesitat to use his boards.

Did you build this yourself or buy it already done.

You will be pleased with that setup. The P41 is the best camera for a home build.

Yes, ebay. I just watch for a good BIN. I won't pay 150 bucks plus for an old used camera. So I just keep watching during the day and every once in a while the sun shines on a dogs......
