RE: Trail cams that e-mail?
I haven't but I have heard some good things and some bad things.
Good is that you do not need to travel to the camera to get the pictures.
Bad is that unless you plug in a larger battery or solar pannel your battery life is not that good, thereffore you would still need to go the the camera to replace the battery. They only work in an area where you get cell phone coverage and some bush area could be restricted coverage. The cost of operating the camera (cell phone package is usually not cheap) and the cost of the camera will put it up there in price. Because of the higher costs, it will make it more of an intrest to a thief.
They have their place, but other then the novality of getting the pics right away, I do not think that they are worth the extra costs since you still need to keep going there to replace the batteries. You might as well have a regular digital cam and replace the cards and batteries together. From what I hear, you need something like a car battery and a solar pannel for it to last an extended period.

Does anyone have a website for these? I just tried finding it online but couldn't. I am looking to set up a cam or 2 about 9 hours away and will have very limited time to go retrieve pics during the summer. This might be a great solution.

im pretty sure i saw the cams in a cabela's catalog, around $800 or so for everything, lemme check.........
http://www.pennswoods.com/CS-05b_CS-05c.html didnt find it on cabela's but there it is. $600 for the camera, plus $100 for the solar charger, and after you get the cell phone (not included), and the monthly plan, it seems like too much unless its a last resort.
