Bushnell Trail Sentry 2.1 anyone?
#11
I am ignorant when it comes to trail cams. Do most digital cameras operate in temps around O degrees? How is the ease of operation/setup forthe sentry? How would yourate this camerafor a beginner? I am not a technological idiot but would like to keep my frustration down so I could enjoy the camera. Thanks for your help.

My bushnell hold's up fairly well in the cold, I think all camera's have a little problem when it gets real cold. I have some Moultrie camera's that really don't like the cold, I think they shut down before you even get out of the woods. The sentry is real easyto get set up, It is password protected so after you put your password in and set the time and date it's ready to go. The next time you use itall you have to do is put in your 4 digit password and it's ready. It comes with some easy instructions, plus they have the instructions on the door of the camera if you forget in the woods. I'm still a beginner and don't have any problems setting it up. So far mine is doing good, some people have had a problem with what they call a sleep mode,I think the flash is a little weak,It will trigger on something at night to far away to see what it is. So far it is better than my moultrie's and the stealth wd2 i had. The good thing is if somebody steals it they can't use it because they don't know your password.

Great timing from the camera or would that be the deer!!
More questions.
I read where there is a 1 minute delay between pictures and cannot be adjusted. What have your experiences been with this?
How has your battery life been?
How do you handle collecting pics?
Is this system for collecting pics working, or might you try to improve on it?

I think my bushnell has a 30 second delay on it,and you can't adjust it. If you put it over a feeder you are going to get ALOT of picture's, it is a good cam to put on a trail and catch them walking by. I think my battery life depends on the number of picture's it takes. The picture's I'm showing you I had the camera out 4 days and got 606 pictures and the batteries were dead. They have an easy mod to do on them that make's the battery last a long time. I have 2 memory cards I just switch out when I check my camera's, I can look at the picture's on my regular digital camera if I want.
