I bought the Moultrie Trail Camera this year and have only gotten pictures of myself staring into the camera. Does anyone know any tricks to this camera, my buddy has the same one and all of the deer in the camera have their heads cut off.

do you use the aiming light? you want it to be just below your waste, and moutlries tend to work better over bait or soemthing where the deer have to stop as opossed to a trail where the deer will be walking by.

I have the Digital game camera 200, I have tried the aiming light, and it gets pretty hard to see in the daylight. I have tried it on trails and over a wheat field as well and no luck. The owners manual offers no instructions on what the digital screen should show when the camera is set.

okay heres a walkthrough, set the camera up at about 2.5-3ft for starters, turn the aiming light on and then stand in front of the aiming light to and try to get it to line up just below your waste. When you have done that go back and turn the camera to the on position. give it about 30secs and then hit the MODE button 1nce and the screen should change and it should be counting down from 30secs. Close the camera up and get out of the area before the time is up because when the time runs out the camera is live and working. Let me know if this helps or if you need more info
