looks like you just lucked up and they crossed there, doesnt look like they cared about the mineral lick, looks like a nice rub beside it too

the buck in the background is in the same spot in both photos....
look at the pic that shows the 8pt moving to the left. now look above and to the left of his head, you can see the other buck standing at the edge of the field, just outside the woodline.

If I could post the full quality photo then it would be easy to blow the pic up to see the other deer. He is hard to see in that photo without blowing it up.
