I set my Cuddeback about 30 inches off the ground. Have the camera face north or south to avoid the sun.

Exactly as I do, but with a LeafRiver!

Depending on the tree, most of my Cuddebacks are 2.5-3 feet off the ground.

depends on camera

Cudde Excite is about 12" off ground (don't know why it needs to be so low)
Wildviews - generally higher than normal - 3.5-4 feet even had at 4 feet
Cudde 3.0 - about 30" or so
Stealth - "normal" height, 3 feet or so

I found the best use of my Stealth viewer is when setting up the cam. I can get cam set, take a sample pic of me, then view it and adjust the cam as needed. No guess work.

We usually set our's 3' to 3.5' to keep the hogs from rubbing on them. The key is to make sure there not pointing too high or too low. Our Moultrie's have the laser to assist with setting the height correctly. You'll get less that half of the pictures you should if it isn't correct though. Needs to be between knees and waist high for ours. We get 110 pics in about 4 days, per camera.
