Default how to "enhance" game cam pics

I haveread in various places that many game cams are rated at 1.3 MP or 3.0 but they really only take a lower MP pic that then need to be "enhanced" to get to the maximum MP. What are people's experience with this? How do you get them enhanced to the better quality?

I have the Moultrie 4.1 from Cabelas and it says its 4.1 mega pixels but theres no way in hell the pics are of that quality . I put them into my HP image zone program that came with my HP printer and i use the sharpen tool to make the inage clearer. I can also make the light showe up better with the Adaptive Lighting tool.

i also like Picasa because it is quick and very simple. There are other programs that are better but they are not easy and are not free. It can also organize all of you photos. here is a quick tutorial on how to enhance trail camera pictures

Thanks for the info and input (I downloaded Picasa). However, I have enhanced pics with other programs (lightened, contrast, crop, etc.) but that doesn't get a better resolution - more MP. That is what I am trying to figure out. I did try to enhance a pic in Picasa and wasn't able to get it much better. Am I missing something?

you're right, I completely misread your post.

Picasa will work on some pictures but will not enhance all of them because some are different than others.

as for creating a better resolution I have not used a software that does that. My Fuji camera does something called interpolation which just means that the software of the camera guesses what the image looks like from the image that you give it.

a search of interpolation software gave me some choices that seemed to cover you original question
