Since their was a thread about low participation on the m/loader thread I thought I,d help kickstart things and start a new one. Is their any of you all goin to go Turkey Huntin this spring with a BP S/Gun?If so,what will you be usin?I have had my eye out for one for awhile but haven,t come across one yet.Hopefully this will get a good response as I,m excited to hear what you all will be usin.

I use my 15 gauge Belgium Muzzle loading single shot shot gun. Turkeys within 35 yards are in trouble.

I've had a hankering for a BP shotgun for a while now and I haven't found a deal that works for me at the right time. Something else always pops up and it has to come home with me.

I have 4 BP shotguns.
I shot my 1st turkey with my great grand daddies sxs bored at 16ga. I used 100 gr of Pioneer Gold shot card , fiber wad, a cut shot cup, ounce and a half of #6 over shot card.
That was 35 yrs ago.
In 2020 I used 3 different muzzlel9ading shotguns.
1st up was my great grand daddies.
Then i used a White Tominator i had rebuilt as the guy i bought from here. Well it had some barrel damage.
This firearm is scoped with a Nikon Turkey Pro.
105 gr Pioneer Gold two lubed 1/4" thick felt wads, 2 3/4 shot cup, 1 7/8 oz #6 dry 1/8 felt over the shotwad

Then i used my Pedroselli 10 Ga.
10 ga
95 gr, Dry shot card, lubed felt, 1 7/8 #6, shot card

It yook a while playing with different powder/shot combinations until i had a decent 25 yard pattern.
But i harvested 7 birds on my 70th birthday yr using 3 different Black powder shotguns.
And then i found i have a Trapper BP series with 2 barrels. You guessed it. One barrel is in 12GA with choke tubes.
Thinking of dialing that in.
