The ones you mentioned are all real black powders. All have the same 3 ingredients but in a little different ratios and process in making the powder. All different companies. Swiss gets the most care in making the powder and is the most powerful. What else did you want to know?

Did you mean Mountain Man instead of Mounting man?

Swiss 2F is also a bit finer grain that the others.

How do they rate in being barrel fouling ?
How about power per equal loadings ?
If using Swiss how much less would you use if you you load 70 gr. of Goex 2 ffg

Swiss burns a little cleaner but it's still black powder and dirty. 60gr of Swiss would probably still have a bit more fps. I hesitate to say 55g but that might be the right answer.

I have found on average that Swiss will give about 3-5% more muzzle velocity than regular Goex and about 1-2% more than Goex OE if that. Other than the MV difference, Swiss is much more consistent in weight and granule size. As Muley Hunter pointed out, Swiss is much more tightly controlled in their production than Goex. Goex OE is better but still not as consistent.

That,s a lot more extreme than I would have thought. My only experience is with Goex and am happy with it,s performance and cleans easy if you clean in a timely manner. What is the name of that other Goex you have used FG?I remember you stated it is a higher grade than regular Goex.

The other powder made by Goex is Olde Eynsford. It has more power and is cleaner burning than regular Goex.

Yeah now I remember.
