Let's see the muzzleloader you will be using this year!

Mine is a Traditions St.Louis Hawken .50cal kit gun I put together. She's sighted in, cleaned, lubed and ready for September 9th!

Heck I don't know which one I'll be using until the night before! Also, it depends on what season I will be hunting and what game. For PA's early anterless only season I'll be using both my .50 cal CVA Accura V2 with Barnes EZs and my T/C Hawken/Green Mtn. barrel in .45 with 370 gr paper patched conicals. For bear it will be the .58 Renegade with GM barrel and PRB. And for the late season it will be either my .54 Custom/GM barrel or my .50 Pedersoli Frontier Rifle both shooting PRBs.

I'm with Bronko, and will be using a variety of guns. I generally take at least three to the hunting camp for a weekend hunt and may very well use all three on different morning and evening hunts. I suspect opening day will be the .45 GM Renegade with Ed Mehlig's 350 grain conicals and the .58 H&A I acquired last year.

Ft. Sill muzzle loading season is for conventional muzzleloaders only, except in areas where center fire rifles are authorized in deer gun season.

i'll be using this .50 caliber Navy Hawken:

Falcon, if you want your picture in Flickr to show up in your post, left click on the picture to make it appear in a larger black rectangle. At the bottom right corner of that rectangle is a "Share" icon - it looks like a curving arrow pointing to the upper right. Click on that icon to display the share box. At the top of the share box click on the BBCode. Copy and paste the BBC into your post. (Before copying the code you can use the drop down box below the code to select the size you want the picture to appear as in your post. The largest of the "medium" options usually works well.)

Note: Pasting the entire BBCode will add some text before and/or after your posted picture. If you want to eliminate that text, delete those parts of the BBCode that appear before the after the IMG code (i.e. before before clicking on the Submit button for your post.

The place is drying out. i've killed several hogs on the island across from the barn. Easiest way to get there is through the adjacent property. Problem is you can't recover them.

Semi,

Did you ever get the horrendous trigger pull on that .58 H&A smoothed out any or have you just learned to live with it? Just curious...
