Flintlock Smoke
A couple weeks back a friend and I took my 2 flinters to the range and just shot the giving hell out of them. I was videoing and so I used my editor to slow down the videos and took screen shots of the cool frames of the pan powder lighting off from the beginning to the end

Its amazing what it looks like. My brother was up one weekend and he has this expensive video camera. I was shooting and it was getting later afternoon shadows. He took a series of videos and like you, went frame by frame in them. It was amazing to watch how the spark reacts to the the frizzen and then the pan.
