I finished up with the new knife. First I want to say this is the first time I have gotten cut while building. I ALWAYS have tape on the blade. I always work the polishing wheel on the bottom ALWAYS.
Well I wanted to polish a spot after I took off the tape. The wheel grabbed the bolster and thew the knife into the bench. But it bounced back and got me pretty good. I looked it over and knew I needed stitches. So I called up my son Jacob and told him to get over. He gave me a couple hillbilly super star stitches and I was back to finishing the Blue Reaper. Here are some pictures of the whole mess. The knife looks awesome and the 3/16 mosaic pins were my own creation. I think they look like Dog Paws.

I had a dog bite me once and it licked it's own rear end to get the taste out of it's mouth.

It is kind of handy having an EMT in the family.

I think you got the manufacturing sequence out of order. I believe you're supposed to quench the blade in blood when hammering it out, not feed it blood after the knife is completed.

I like knives. I have a few including a couple handmade knives that I picked up at gun shows. I've PMd Ron a couple times because I was thinking about getting into making my own. I even got a belt/disc sander.
Well it turns out that I loaded a couple hundred .270 rounds for my cousin using his brass and bullets and my powder and primers. He was so grateful he bought me a beautiful Buck Special. http://www.buckknives.com/product/11...ife/0119FAM01/
He told me he didn't like seeing me bear hunting with my ML and carrying a folding knife. Yeah right, like I'm going to try and fight off a bear. Anyway - he'd never catch me because he'd be slipping on my deposits as I was running away!

I made a video for helping guys make knives. That is a good looking knife but building your own is special. here is the link to the video. I wish I would have aimed it more at my hands on some of it but you will get the idea.
