Browning Cobra II recurve

Just won a Cobra II by Browning on Ebay and was wondering if anybody owns or owned one and what their opinions are about the bow

It's by Browning' I thought they quit making them years ago. I bought a used t/d and it kept breaking strings. When I called them they said it was recalled and sent me a Timber Wolf ( a compound). That was about 10 years ago. Can you find a pic of the bow to post?

I don't remember if I ever owned one of those, but I have owned at least one or two old Browning recurves. Pretty good shooters as I recall--I think another company made the bows for them, but I can't remember for sure.

Good luck, and have fun!

I had one about 20 years back, but I never got to shoot it. It's bottom limb was too twisted to be fixed. But I kept it on the wall for a long time because it was just too pretty to thow away. Finally gave it to an archery shop for their display of old recurves.

Looks backwards. ;) I Don't know anything about the bow but being a southpaw ya can't be too picky sometimes. I've seen a couple on there that i'm going to bid on by the 27th but I've never bidded on e-bay before but I just signed up. Do people ever bid at the last minute to get there merchandise? I'm still not sure how it works. Anyways, good luck in shooting, Bobby

Bobby - I can't tell you how many times I've been beat by someone bidding at the last minute LOL

After three years of ebaying, I can tell you that the item you are bidding on will come up again (or one just like it), so don't sweat it if you are outbid. I always go with a decent limit price, and if I get out bid prior to the end, if I really want it I post another bid... if not, then oh well..

Its fun, but it can be addictive... got too many bows now according to the wifey

I've seen a bow go from $45 up to $300 in the last 2 minutes of the auction. It depends on how many folks are watching that particular bow and whether you want to spend more than they do.
