I went on a late elk hunt with the wheel bow as I am waiting for my new falcon and I'll tell ya I let three shooters walk by the last three days. I was 11 yards from a 4x4 bull this morning but bulls are not open here this time of year. The 3 cows I saw were on the small side so I let them walk but if I would have had my recurve they all would have been easy kills at less than 15 yards. I have till the 11 of dec. to kill one so letting these lady's walk was fine with me. I love the hi country this time of year we had 7 inches of snow last night and it was awsome out there. I did shoot at a bobcat but missed a touch low. I know I gotta wait for the recurve and then practice all summer but I just couldn't help thinking about how cool it would have been to nail one of them with my new wackin stick, Can't wait till next year. Shoot yeah I'm hidin! If it's any consolation, I figure you will get yours before I get mine, and I've been waiting a lot longer--lol. Something about customers coming first and I'll get mine eventually--dang business ethics......I'm getting a td Crusader with beeswing figure eucalyptus (or jarrah if you want it to sound more expensive) veneer on the limbs, yew cores. You think it's hard waiting.....you should be getting some of these beauties and have to turn around and send them to somebody else! It's killin me.......especially when I have to send two of the prettiest I've ever seen to some knucklehead in OH.........life just ain't fair sometimes.........
