We all had javie calls, but didn't get a chance to bust a group. they were conspicuous by their absence....

IT'S A REAL KICK WHEN YOU CAN CALL THEM THEY COME P.O.ED AND ARE POPPING THEIR TEETH AND CAN GET THE ADRENALINE PUMPING <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
WHERE WE HUNTED IN AZ IT WAS HILLY SO WE WERE ABLE TO SPOT THEM AT A DISTANCE AND STALK THEM. TOO MUCH FUN

Hey John,

You weren't far from my place. (In West Texas terms) I'm at Fort Stockton, and almost once or twice a week I have to get up at night and chase off the Javs. My dog,(1/2 bull mastiff, 1/2 pit bull), wants a pig to play with real bad. They fight through the fence, and that's why I have to get up and scare them off.

I have killed 5 over the last 3 years. One huge one I killed with a obsidian point I made. But hey! It all evens out. I have not had much success with the Whitetail. So I guess the javs must be easy. I mean if I can kill em.

What did you think of that &quot;cool&quot; spell last week? Is that normal?

John,

No! Not normal. This has been one of the coldest winters we have had(on the whole). Of course we had enough nice days for all of my fruit trees to bloom and then get frozen. We usually will have a cold spell in late Feb or March but in the teens is rare. We have been in the 20's every night for the last two or three weeks and that is not normal either. I'm sure in about 2 months I will be longing for some cool weather though.

Sorry you did not see more pigs. Last week, with the moon full, I suspect they were moving at night. At least that's when they were moving at my house.
