Shane,
I'm not sure if this weekend's even going to work out. I'll have to wait and see what the river does with all this rain. As you can see by the link, it's rising and the flow is increasing quite a bit. If the discharge hits 1,500 cubic feet/second, you don't want to be wading in it.

Shane,
My usual spot isn't looking so good. They're calling for rain today and tomorrow, a high of only 62 on Saturday, and the river's still on the rise. I don't think wading around there would be a smart idea.
However, it's supposed to be sunny and the carp are starting to spawn. If you're up for a float trip, we can use the canoe to island hop and bowfish from the banks. Can you haul a canoe on that fancy-schmancy SUV of yours? We can use my truck at the take-out spot, so we'd only have to haul it on your vehicle the 1/2 mile or so from my house to the river.
Lemme know.

The fancy schmancy SUV that we took to K-Zoo is my wifes, mine is a 97 Expedition with 180,000 miles on it and I'm sure it wouldn't mind a canoe on the roof rack. Heck a few years ago it was in a creek in water over the headlights and never stalled. Now I'm not so sure I'd like to try that again, but I think it will do okay as a canoe mover.....What time do I get to your place, and what do I need to bring besides my bows and reel?

Jason, I wanted to offer my congratulations on your Bucks tale. Great stuff. I also just read your bowfishing article, again very good stuff. Got me all hot to check out the regs here and gettin the wifes martin out and outfit it for the water sports. I hear they got some Monster carp in one of our northern lakes and they like the shallows.
