Is OL's waiting period a year now? Wow, he really has gotten some great advertising through word of mouth. Sounds like a beautiful bow, is you don't mind me asking, did the ebony cost extra? I really love that stuff, but I know its expensive. I think you made a great decision.....pete

Thanks Pete. Yes, there is a year wait on orders write now. But I don't mind. He is basically the only one who will touch the bow from beginning to end. Yes, the ebony did cost extra, I don't want to quote prices for him, but it was not outrageously more, or significant enough for me not to go with the ebony. His policy is that he doesn't make anything more himself on more expensive wood. You only pay the difference that he pays. Also, I'd like to mention that it took about a week of conversing with him to come to my final decision and he was more than helpful. Thanks again.

It's gaboon ebony:

Macassar is very nice with it's brown and black grain, but I wanted a solid black riser.

Bob,
Your bow should look great.
Actually, I wouldn't mind having a Macassar riser with a Gaboon spiral. Thought it would look cool and be different.
Hope the wait on the Adcock isn't too long for you. It's an awesome Longbow and worth waiting on.
I ordered a Trails End last June and won't get it until October.
The time seems to be flying by though and will be here soon.
Sag.

He is quite the man, Bob, you can bet that he's gonna do it right, just like with his policy on the expensive wood. I am gonna order one of his one day, maybe wait until he gets the new limb prototype into production. I too was thinking of going with gaboon ebony, for something extra special. I also love the dovetail t/d system he offers. He is the man.....pete

Yup, I got Dad's old Bear Kodiak Recurve first. That bow is stacking on me way too much though. It's like trying to pull a brick wall. That bow is measured at 45# at 28". My draw is 31.5" and I had the poundage poundage on that bow measured at 55# at 30". The new bow should be great though. He is making it custom for me at 31.5 draw and 60#. I can't wait to get it. I only have 363 days now. I used to shoot traditional when I was a kid, my Dad instisted on it. But, I went the way of technology for the past 15 years. Got the itch back again though - big time! It's way too much fun!
