Has anyone used those camo skirt/socks on thier limbs when they hunt? What type of perfomance loss did you experience? I was thinking of making a set using camo mesh.

I have those socks on my bow, and to keep those pretty limbs from getting scratched, I'd sacrifice a few FPS. Thats if it did have that impact, which I doubt it does.

I have some of the silky feeling camo limb socks and I dont notice any difference in the bow with or with out them..but then again I have never paid that close enough attetion to speed from my bows.

I've got a set of limbskins in Tamarack that I put on the takedown hunter II and there was no speed loss or change in how the bow shot. They also won't hold water in the rain. You can get them at 3 rivers and lost nation archery.

why dont you buy a pair of real snake skins for 40 bucks, a bottle of glue and a bottle of spray poly and do it yourself! They look much better. The fella that got me into trad used them and I thought they looked like crap...they do keep the scratches from your limbs but just never really caught my eyes! Besides, whats the sence in having a pretty wood bow only to hide it ! The snake skins are on the back only.....gonna have a pair coming as of next week!

What's wrong with you people, take those bows out in the woods as they are, when you get back home your bow might have a little more character--what's wrong with that! Cam

I've never used the limb covers. Seemed like they'd grab the sawbriars as you're going through the woods. They grab me way too often. I tend to agree with rexer, why cover them up?
